CANCELED – RareKC Patient and Caregiver Coffee
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED TO COMPLY WITH PUBLIC HEALTH AND ALLOW OUR COMMUNITY TO SHELTER AT HOME AND AVOID EXPOSURE TO COVID-19. WE WILL BE IN TOUCH WHEN THE EVENT IS RESCHEDULED.
Join us for this month’s special RareKC Patient and Caregiver Coffee with Debbie Niemann to learn more about how to create a special needs financial plan.
Creating a Special Needs Financial Plan: An overview of SSI & SSDI, Medicaid & Waivers, ABLE accounts, special needs trusts, and other important considerations to help family members better understand how planning for a child with special needs is different both legally & financially.
Debbie Niemann’s teenage daughter, Cecilia, has cerebral palsy and complex medical issues. As a parent to a child with special needs, she understands the mentality of living one day at a time, but this approach falls short when it comes to providing a financially secure future and desired quality of life. Debbie is a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual and has her Chartered Special Needs Consultant designation through the American College. She helps families with their special needs planning throughout the United States and has been an expert speaker on the topic of special needs planning at numerous state and national conferences.
