Amanda Montalbano, MD, MPH, FAAP, is the Director of Scholarly Activities for the Division of Urgent Care and the Medical Director of Patient and Family Engagement at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. She attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she received her Medical Degree as well as her Master of Public Health degree with honors. She completed her pediatric residency in Omaha, Nebraska and returned to Kansas City where she is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Montalbano is one of the leading researchers in pediatric urgent care, managing workgroups across the country publishing research and quality improvement around patient experience and acute care utilization. She is a founding co-chair for the Academic Pediatric Association Urgent Care Special Interest Group and the Chair of Research for the Society of Pediatric Urgent Care.
