Building awareness of rare diseases is so important because 1 in 20 people live with a rare disease. There is no cure for the majority of rare diseases and many go undiagnosed. Through this symposium, the Missouri Cures Education Foundation hopes to raise awareness and provide information to those who have a loved one living with a rare disease.
